Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

In this faculty, we believe that our collective practices are a powerful agent of change for the ummah and the global environment. As a vibrant, multidisciplinary faculty, our core values centre on transforming education and research through impactful, applied design and engineering practices.

We aspire to become a global reference center for a new paradigm shift in design and innovation thinking—one that is deeply rooted in the integration of the Naqli and Aqli model. By combining divine revelation with rational knowledge, we approach complex modern challenges with a unique, holistic lens. Our industry-engaged, practice-led methods address urgent community and environmental issues, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to deliver truly regenerative solutions. Through this approach, we prepare future-proof graduates who possess both the robust skills and the strong values needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.

You will learn from a dedicated team of academic experts and industry practitioners who bring real-world practice directly into the classroom. Beyond theory, our students are given immersive opportunities to engage in diverse projects, allowing them to travel, experience local and international cultures, and work with cutting-edge technologies.

We celebrate the fact that our students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We do not expect you to have perfected your skills at the point of entry; what matters most to us is your passion, commitment, and love for knowledge. Our Faculty has achieved one of the highest rates of graduate employability in the university and has consistently maintained a 100% employability rate for the past 4 years. Our role is to guide you step-by-step in building your values, intellect, and capabilities, empowering you to step out into the world as a qawwy (professional) and al-amin (trustworthy/integrity), thus driving meaningful change for the ummah towards rahmatan lil alamin.
